Subtrochanteric fracture femur

Subtrochanteric fractures occur in severe traffic accidents. They are severe injuries and one of the most difficult fractures to treat. Majority of these fractures are managed by surgical intervention which involves fixation with intramedullary devices like Proximal femoral nail (PFN ) or extramedullary devices like Dynamic Condylar Screw / Angled Blade Plate.
