Hip Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy of hip is a novel procedure used for certain intra-articular hip pathologies. It is commonly used for arthroscopic ( key hole ) removal of loose bodies from the hip joint or removal of benign growths like synovial chondromatosis. It is also used for arthroscopic repair of structures in and around the hip joint like acetabular labrum, iliopsoas repair / release, repair of hip abductors and for surgical correction of femoroacetabular impingement.
